New York Moves Up COVID-19 Vaccination Eligibility for Home Care, Hospice Workers
The New York State Department of Health originally determined that home care workers would not be eligible to receive the first dose of the vaccine until Jan. 11.
Thanks to the advocacy of HHWA, the department has updated that plan, allowing home care workers to receive the vaccine as soon as Jan. 4.
Home Healthcare Workers of America, responding to an urgent need among HHC workers, was integral to the push for early vaccine access.
